<description>It is important to note that Nigel was also the winner of the Canadian Radial Open Championships in 2010, held in Oka, QC., beating out over 60 competitors for the title.
And we hope that Al will make it. He broke some ribs sailing in Edmonton at the Canadian Open and may not be fully recovered.
In addition, Greg Tawaststjerna was a strong contender at last year&#039;s Masters and there is every indication he will be even stronger this year.

And I thought I saw Peter Sidenburg on the list, but not any more. Did he drop out?

<description>This is my first contact in many years with Laser racing. I raced from 1984 (Quebec City) to 1991 (Florida Masters) and lots in between. It was always a fun time and I miss it very much. Never won anything, probably because I started late in life (age 53) and got to race against some of the legends of Laser racing ie: Peter Seidenberg for example. Now at 79 I still enjoy bending the canvas at times. My son and I will be going to Georgian Bay this week to sail OUR lasers. At 17 he loves sailing and hopefully will take up racing some day. He uses a 1974 Laser (wooden foils) we rebuilt a few years ago, and I still sail my 1980 Laser I used racing.
Have fun sailors! Nothing is better than Laser racing.
