Welcome to the 2008 season

Thank you athletes, coaches, officials, parents and volunteers. You contributed to make the 2007 CORK events a resounding success. More than 1200 athletes competed in the events, including the traditional August events for Keelboats and Dinghies, and the Fall Regatta at the end of September. We are looking forward to seeing you again in 2008, check the schedule for dates and details. The August events will include North American Championships for 29er, ISAF Grade 1 event for Laser and Radial and World Championships for the Contender class.

In July 2007, Kingston hosted the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championships. See website www.youthworlds2007.org This championship is the pinnacle youth event internationally and youth from 50 nations competed for the World Championship title. Canadian team proudly represented Canada and we congratulate participants and volunteers who made this a very successful event.

We salute and welcome our volunteers who generously contribute time and knowledge. The volunteer base is the backbone of the events and we would not be able to host such excellent events without your continued support. Please have a look at the event schedule for 2008 and let us know if you are able to help out next year as well.
