Thank you ABYC!

ABYC Vice-Commodore Paul Brennan presenting CORK Board Chair Jamie Fraser with the ABYC burgee at the CORK AGM on April 7th 2018

CORK would like to recognize and thank our first partner of 2018,  Ashbridge’s Bay Yacht Club.

Thank you for your contribution to CORK! Your ongoing support will go towards running world class sailing events including volunteer training and travel.

We take this opportunity to invite all other sailing organizations to make their own contribution to CORK.  A Canadian not-for-profit organization, CORK relies on sailor fees, volunteers, grants and sponsorships.  Many clubs already support CORK by loaning equipment, or encouraging their volunteers.  Those clubs’ burgees feature on the Supporters banner on the CORK website.

We are asking the clubs that regularly participate at CORK to consider an annual donation of $300 (or more).

Each year, we’ll publish the supporting clubs’ names and burgees on our website, and if a cloth burgee is sent with your cheque, we’ll hang it at our check-in desk, so that the sailors and volunteers get a constant reminder that their club is a supporter.

As most clubs would not benefit from a tax deduction, the most effective means to donate would be by mailed cheque (and burgee if you’d like!):

If you require more information, or would prefer to donate by credit card, please contact us at:

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Thank you CORK Volunteers!

Thank you CORK Volunteers!

We extend a sincere thank you to each and every one for your time, effort and commitment. The CORK volunteer team give 1,000’s of hours during events, travelling and training. The social value to the 1,000++ competitors each summer is immense,  and you make it all FUN!

Each time an opportunity presents itself CORK volunteers rise to the challenge!   This spring is no exception.  2018 Regatta preparations have already been taking place with the race, jury, safety, results and comms teams. The CORK Board has been busy developing new procedures and planning exciting events for the future.  The site team has spent the winter readying equipment and is now prepping boats for launch.   The admin team continues to work on summer plans and initiatives.  The entire CORK team all play an important role in having CORK recognized internationally as a world class organization.

Your enthusiasm and professionalism as the CORK volunteer team has made Kingston the freshwater sailing capital of the world.   As a CORK volunteer, you have much to be proud of!  Your efforts make this all possible!

Let’s all take this opportunity to thank the wonderful volunteers in our community this week!
